Let’s Paint Orchids in Watercolor

Hello Everyone, Everyday I count my blessings. I am so happy to bring you another Let’s Paint time. Nature is so beautiful in so many ways, and for me orchids are on top of that list.

This is a little more challenging painting, but so rewarding when it is complete. I am finding that if I make mistakes when painting, I keep learning. If I keep learning the skills and techniques to get me the final results I want, I will become a better painter. So, the message is – keep trying – make mistakes and keep learning. Hope you enjoy this video.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

Let’s Paint a Birch Bark Tree in Watercolor

Hello Everyone, This Birch Bark was so majestic when I spotted it at Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine on our trip in 2015. I wanted to capture the look of it reaching way up to the sky.

This painting is easy because it requires no sketching. Hope you enjoy this as this will give you some new techniques you may want to try.

Happy Painting,

Vicki

Hello Everyone, This video is full of tips; enhancing wooden embellishments, making your own envelope, and even directing you to a video I posted on preparing stuffing for a turkey!

I wanted to finish my project I started – a Father’s Day present I posted on my 5/29/19 video if you’d like to watch the first part.

Let’s Paint a Vase of Flowers in Watercolor

Hello Everyone, I wanted to preserve my Mother’s Day flowers from my son as a painting. I loved the colors of the flowers, it is so cheerful.

I was able to press a few tulips from my other son’s arrangement – I’ll have to check those in my book I have pressed them in next week to see how they pressed.

So much to be thankful for!

I hope you enjoy this detailed video of the painting. You can use any paints you have if you’d like to paint along. My favorite are M. Graham, I also used one tube of a Windsor Newton Professional paint and one tube of a Cotman watercolor paint by Windsor Newton, student grade. However, use what you have.

Please share this video with your artsy & crafty friends and family if you’d think they’d like to paint along.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Happy Painting & Creating,

Vicki

Decluttering My Craft Room – Making a Father’s Day Gift

Hello Everyone, I took out all Tom’s Greeting cards he received for Birthdays, Father’s day, and other heartfelt cards that were in a bag for a long time.

I also gathered all those papers I didn’t use from Michaels and found two books I had stored in my craft room to put cards in. I am so happy I started this project and will finish it by this Saturday. I will have it ready to give Tom for Father’s day. I always enjoy giving him something for Father’s day as well as our one son and two sons-in-law. They are wonderful dads and we are enjoying our seven grandchildren.

Another project done in my craft room this month – it’s so good to have gotten those projects out of the bends. A few of the projects I did this past month were tucked in corners of the room! I have many more projects I’d like to do, so I have decided I would like to do one a month.

I have been painting a vase of flowers I received for Mother’s day. I’m now done decluttering my craft room for awhile, so I will get back to painting more.

Wishing all dads a Happy Father’s Day this June.

Happy decluttering & creating,

Vicki

Decluttering My Craft Room – Embellishing Note Pads

Hello Everyone, I’m so happy I chose to declutter my craft room this month. I have just completed project #3 and would like to share this with you. You can use any scrap paper you have for this project. You know, all those pretty papers you have that you haven’t used for awhile.

It’s so fun matching paper scraps and embellishments. I have been thinking about doing this for the last 3 years. That’s right, and today I got it done. I thought of 13 people I will give this to as a note pad for a shopping list, to do list, or whatever they need this for.

Hope you can get to those projects you’ve been wanting to do for gifts, your home decor, projects you need to do for you or your business.

All the best to you and Happy Creating,

Vicki

Decluttering My Craft Room – One Project At A Time

Hello Everyone, I am doing a little Spring cleaning in my craft room. I came across something that’s at one time or another probably in everyone’s craft room – toilet paper rolls. Well, today I am going to use these to put treats in them and have some fun using some pretty paper and ribbon.

I have my projects in bends, and it is time I start using what I have and turning it into something! I enjoyed making these today. Hope you too have time to turn your materials into something fun to make. Sharing is so much fun. I will be happy to see everyone enjoy receiving these.

Happy Creating & Decluttering,

Vicki

Decluttering My Craft Room – One Project At A Time

Hello Everyone, This project is one in about twenty I have in my craft room. Oh, it feels good to accomplish this. I have been wanting to make this for a long time!

I showed Tom what I wanted to accomplish and he said o.k. I can print this – and he not only printed it but helped me through the entire process – whoa, I was so grateful!

About fifteen of the other projects are ideas, but not entirely thought through, so I will be creating as I am making some of these projects. I will show you each project I do as I attempt to declutter my craft room. I hope to be able to do five projects a year.

Hope you can have fun and accomplish all you would like to do in your craft room – one project at a time!
