“Let’s Paint Day Lilies”

Hello Everyone, I wanted to capture Day Lilies from my garden in a painting, as they only last a day or a little after that.

The color of these lilies in our garden stopped me in my tracks, so rich in color. We are also enjoying pink and orange lilies. So much to be thankful for. What flowers are you enjoying in your garden?

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Let’s Paint Roses in a Pretty Bowl”

Hello Everyone,

I love Roses, they are all in bloom in our garden except the pink ones we have in the front garden. I also love putting cut flowers in our pretty dishes as a center piece for the table.

Such loveliness to capture in a painting. I find the more I paint, the more challenging some compositions are for me, but that’s good. That means I continue to learn. Don’t give up if you are starting to paint in Watercolor! Remember mistakes are good, that means we will all learn for the next painting, right?

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Let’s Paint Clematis in Watercolor”

Hello Everyone, I love this time of year and what the garden brings. Our three year old Clematis plant has finally taken off this year and growing flowers up the trellis everyday. We have three of them in our yard, I love them.

It’s wonderful to be able to capture favorite flowers in the garden as a painting. Painting sure makes the time go by very quickly and I look forward to what the next day can bring.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

Flowers In Our Garden & Anniversary Picture

Hello Everyone, I love the perennials that pop up in the garden every year. Sometimes I plant a few annuals just to have constant color too.

It’s been raining so much, everything is growing so well. We’ve planted grass this year in our backyard, building the ground up a bit. Seems there is always something to do in the garden, it changes from year to year!

I thought it would also be fun to show you a picture of us on our 34th Wedding Anniversary and a picture of us on our honeymoon 34 years ago! Where has the time gone! It seems like we were just married actually, I’m not sure why!

Keep cool this Summer!

Happy gardening & creating,

Vicki
