“Three More Paintings Revised”

Pretty Orange Rose, Pretty Pink Rose, and Pretty Peach Rose, all needed a different background I thought, also greener leaves, and wanted to get rid of my negative painting I attempted when I originally created them. So happy I decided to change them. I have been looking into impressionist panting and find it very interesting, thus was my attempt for the backgrounds. The top three ‘before” pictures are greeting cards and prints of how I first painted them, and the “after” pictures are what the paintings look like now, the originals. What do you think? Do you think they look better with the impressionistic background?

Hope I am inspiring someone out there to keep on painting. There is always something to learn, something new to try to make those paintings just the way you want.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“My First Spring Paintings / 2022”

I’m looking forward to warmer weather here in Michigan! I remember one year raking the leaves, cleaning up the garden a bit when 4 baby rabbits jumped out of their home Mama Rabbit dug under dirt and leaves in the garden. Bunnies and rabbits are so adorable, I love to see them hopping and running in our yard.

Meet Wildflower. I named her that because when running wild in the field if there are flowers to find, there she will be, filling up on all those scrumptious flowers. I also think she may be carrying a few babies! (all this is made up). Many times my paintings have a story behind them as I am creating them!

My next Spring painting is “Pretty Peony”, my soon to be daughter-in-law Molly’s favorite flower. As I was painting this I remember she had told me about The Peony Garden in Ann Arbor where she loves to visit when the Peonies are in bloom. I believe the garden is called Nichols Arboretum.

So, there you have it – so excited to share my paintings with you and can’t wait till I start my next one!

Hope all is well with you and you are filled with hope and find joy in the beauty of God’s amazing wonders.

Happy Spring!

Vicki

“Christmas in September / 2021”

I love to make some of my Christmas gift bags out of recycled paper. I start making the bags and organizing the presents now, so when the holidays are here I’m not scrambling to do everything at one time; the decorations, dinner, events, etc.

I hope you enjoy this video watching me make the bags and can take a few ideas to make your holiday less chaotic and more enjoyable.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“How I Reduced My Cholesterol, Lost 57 lbs., and Dropped 5 Pant Sizes”

I’m so excited to share with you my Fitness Journey. This is the first video of a three part series. Jan 20, 2020 I reached my goal weight. Covid hit last March and from then on I gained 5 lbs., (who didn’t?) however I lost those 5 lbs. and hit my goal weight Dec 19, 2020. I’m encouraged, inspired, and enthused to encourage all who are struggling with those cholesterol numbers. Please share this with a friend if they are struggling also. Because of Covid, I also couldn’t share these videos with you due to my oldest daughter and I not being able to get together to film my last video, sharing my exercise total body work out with you. I have decided it’s time to do these videos and Tom, my husband and I will film that video. Besides loving art, crafting, nature, cooking, God and family, I love thinking of all things healthy and sharing this with you is a long time coming.

“Christmas in September / Making Small Bags”

Hello Everyone, One of my favorite things to make are gift bags. I love how it’s so easy to make bags out of recycled paper. I like to start in September as the time gets very busy around Christmas getting the decorations up, last minute preparations and yes this year we will still make the big dinner. Unfortunately this year due to the pandemic, all of us will not be able to gather together, but I will send a great dinner along with gifts to my children and families.

I hope you too stay hopeful and look forward to somehow celebrating this wonderful holiday. Thinking of you all and hope you are well.

Happy Creating,

Vicki
