Pressed Floral Gallery

·  The Process:  Vicki carefully selects flowers, leaves, and other foliage that have to be separated into pieces suitable for pressing. Pressing is done the old-fashioned way, in books. While the flowers are pressing, which can be six weeks or more,  Vicki sketches her design. Once every petal and leaf is arranged exactly as she wants, Vicki begins the painstaking task of gluing each piece into place. At that stage, even a single breath can move a delicate petal.

·  Why Prints: Although pressed flowers can retain their beauty for many decades, their colors naturally soften over time. To preserve each design at its peak, we professionally scan each original and produce archival-quality prints designed to last for generations.

·  Limited Edition: Every design is produced as a true Limited Edition. Once the edition is sold out, no additional prints will ever be produced. Each print is individually signed and numbered in pencil.

·  Archival Printing:  Our earlier editions were produced using archival laser printing on acid-free paper. Beginning with Design #89, Basket of Beauty, we upgraded to museum-quality giclée printing using archival pigment inks on 100% cotton paper. This process is widely recognized for exceptional color accuracy and longevity, with an expected life of 200 years or more under proper display conditions.
