“Let’s Paint Cherry Blossoms”

Hello Everyone, It’s Spring and Cherry Blossom time in Michigan. I love Cherry and Apple trees blooming in the Spring. We always loved the Cherry Blossoms blooming out east in April on our many visits to Washington D.C.

It’s so nice remembering our trips. In the next few weeks I will plant my flower seeds. So much to look forward to. Keep looking up, better days are ahead.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Let’s Paint a Spring Wreath”

Hello Everyone, Today in Michigan it will be a little warmer. We’ve been having cold Springs lately. I welcome the warmer weather when it comes. I am enjoying my Spring wreath above my fireplace and wanted to capture a picture and painting of it.

Today I took a picture of the many beautiful blossoms on our apple tree. I also took a picture of a very big rabbit in our backyard early this morning! Spring – new beginnings, hope that things will change.

Stay well.

Make a Mother’s Day Card with Vicki

Hello Everyone,

I always make a Mother’s Day card for my two daughters and daughter-in-law. They are wonderful Moms and I want them to know how much they are loved. You will see me make a quilt like card. I always have fun putting colors together, my pressed floral scrapes, other papers, and embellishments.

Wishing all Moms, Grandmas, Aunts, and those special friends in your life and mine a “Very Happy Mother’s Day”.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Let’s Paint Daffodils in Watercolor”

Hello Everyone,

With warmer weather and social distancing, I am walking with Tom almost every day. I love looking at the Spring flowers and today I wanted to paint some daffodils.

Let’s Paint Daffodils in Watercolor

I also remember the Spring flowers on our many trips out east in the Spring; beautiful flowers everywhere,  wonderful weather. I remember enjoying the cherry blossom trees in Washington D.C. and kite flying. Kites – that would be fun for kids to do on a windy day! Spring, I love it.

Stay well and safe.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Let’s Paint a Hummingbird & Delphinium Flowers in Watercolor”

Hello Everyone,

I felt like painting a hummingbird today and delphiniums.

I love the blue and green colors some hummingbirds have and I love delphiniums. It’s rare to see them fluttering around. How wonderful it is to remember when I’ve seen them flutter so quickly around my flowers in the garden. Soon it will start warming up a bit more here in Michigan. I will look forward to that and planting my garden of flowers.

Hope you are all well.

Happy Creating,

Vicki

Make Thinking of You Cards with Vicki

Hello Everyone,

I thought of so many other people I wanted to send a card to after I sent my Easter cards  last week, so I made “Thinking of You” cards. This is one way I can brighten someone during these trying times of social distancing.

In this video I will show you some of my art work and pressed floral work. I use my scraps to make these cards, I like to call them my Decorative Art Collection. I will show you how I use my Fiskars Ultra Shape Xpress and a few other techniques.

Stay Well & Happy Creating,

Vicki

“Make an Easter Card with Vicki”

Hello Everyone,

Easter is almost here. I have been busily making Easter cards. I was so happy to use my watercolor panels and my pressed floral print scraps for these cards.

I love this cross stamp I have and once I figured out my design there was no stopping me!! Did you ever feel like that in the craft room, like you were on a “roll”. I wanted to make several different colored cards and had so much fun!

Have a blessed Easter, stay well.

Keep hopeful and Happy Creating,

Vicki

Plus the bonus of using up those paints is I have paper that looks so pretty when I make my cards. Then after I’m done, all my palettes are ready for me to paint all those designs I have in mind.
