Hello Everyone, I love exploring new methods and getting messy with Watercolor paints once in awhile. Removing and using those paints left in my palettes for card bases is a great time to do that.
– 3 Examples of watercolor techniques used in card making –
Plus the bonus of using up those paints is I have paper that looks so pretty when I make my cards. Then after I’m done, all my palettes are ready for me to paint all those designs I have in mind. Hope you too can have fun in your craft room or art studio along with me watching Part 1 of this two part video.
Hello Everyone, Card making gives me so much joy and is so meaningful to those who will receive them.
Note card layouts
These sympathy cards will be just the right thing to send someone experiencing a loss. I also want to show you my desk I work on making cards. I’m excited to share with you my new workspace I just had to organize! Lots of tips to share. Sharing and caring…so much fun.
Hello Everyone, I love mixing paint colors together.
Artist palette, brushes and sketch
This yellow rose had deep darker colors of yellow, light colors of yellow, a little bit of orange, and a little bit of red – all those pretty warm colors. All these colors make me think of warmer weather in the Summer. I used a few of my Inktense Watercolor pencils which are very vibrant colors. Hope you have fun watching this video as much as I had fun painting this rose.
Hello Everyone, I’m so happy to keep busy in the craft room with so many pretty papers, ribbons, and materials that help me make what I’d like to make.
Handmade Valentine’s Day Card by Vicki
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and I look forward to it every year. Hope you enjoy this video and stay tuned for next week, as I will show you all the cards I will make this week and the gifts I will give everyone. Such happy times.
Hello Everyone, I had so much fun painting these adorable booties for a baby boy. They were a gift to my daughter for her son (she had twins – a boy and a girl) 2 1/2 years ago. I changed the colors of them and the blanket a bit and had fun creating that. Last week I painted the booties for her daughter.
Painting Baby Booties
I painted a border around the card for my first time and was happy how it turned out.
Hello Everyone, Two people in my life are going to have baby girls so I want to surprise them with a special card. I found a photo I took of booties my daughter received for her twins so I used that as a reference to paint a 5×7 greeting card with watercolor paints and pencils.
Baby Girl Booties in Watercolor
The twins were a girl and a boy so next week I thought it will be fun to paint baby boy booties too, as I have a picture of those also. She also received pretty blankets with the booties which I used as a background for the booties.
Hello Everyone, I love to reflect on such happy memories. Hope you too had wonderful moments with family and friends this past holiday.
2019 Happy Memories
I’m looking forward to new beginnings; exploring techniques with watercolor, working with my pressed flowers, making cards, using the tools that I have to make projects, sharing my fitness journey with you and much more.
Hello Everyone, I’m very excited today as my husband Tom just completed making the puzzle I talked about out of my bunny I painted last week for my grandchildren.
A puzzle made from a Watercolor painting
Today I painted a deer for my other grandchildren that will also be turned into a puzzle. Hopefully he can get that done in the next few days – already for Christmas!! I will show you a picture of it.

Painting a Deer in Watercolor
Soon I will show you a picture of our Christmas cards we made this year as that was my 7th project I accomplished this year as I mentioned in another video – turning my materials I have in the craft room into something!
Hope you are having fun and able to stay calm and happy preparing for the holiday too.
I’m excited to show you week Three’s Christmas tag I made. I think it’s a pretty one to add to our collection of our twenty-five we will end up making.
With the “Arctic Blast” upon us I hope everyone is safe. There is still plenty of time to shop for Christmas, but I’m glad I got mine done already. One of the many reasons I prepare early for Christmas is the weather. I like to stay cozy and warm when the cold and snow hits us hard like the other day. This is one more reason I like to make what I can in the craft room, little by little using my stash.
Hello Everyone, One of the things I enjoy about the Fall is participating in the Wall to Wall Art Show at the Community Center in Troy, Michigan. This year it is Sat., Oct. 26, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fall is in the air with all the wonderful colors, Thanksgiving and Christmas is fast approaching and I love all the preparations I do now so I can enjoy getting together with family and friends.
It is also time for our FALL SALE. The sale starts as soon as this video goes up until Nov. 16, 2019. We offer gifts for teachers, moms, grandmas, friends, aunts and anyone who is special in your life. We also offer Christmas cards, thank you cards, note cards, and greeting cards. Including one of our bookmarks or magnets in your greeting card is always a nice surprise for someone, also they make great stocking stuffers.
