I am happy with the revision of “Helleborus”, or as some know this flower as “Spring Rose”. I changed the background, lightened up the leaves and some of the flowers, and added more flowers to the table cloth. I have a few more paintings I did in my early days of painting I want to revise and will share those with you now and then. What do you think of the revision, (the painting below the first one)?
Helleborus I – design #161
My first painting of “Helleborus”, painted 2016, one year after I first started painting in watercolor. Check out my revision of this painting, done May, 2023, below this one.

Painting can be a challenge, but we all learn along the way. I have such a love of color, nature, paper, and design and love to create beautiful art for all to enjoy. I love to share God’s beauty and share that with others, one painting at a time.

Hope everyone is enjoying this last bit of winter. It’s been o.k. for me, the fallen snow is always so beautiful. I’m always happy when we can get that Spring fresh air though, when we start to see all the beautiful Spring flowers that bloom and bunnies running around – those friendly visitors.
I’m so excited to show you this video as it has my bigger Watercolor paintings I do between my “Let’s Paint” series, “Make a Card with Vicki”, and projects I work on with the materials I have in my craft room. Hope you can take a look.
Hello Everyone, I loved painting the bluebird a couple weeks ago on the fence on my “Let’s Paint” Series and wanted to paint a bigger bluebird.
Bluebird & Black-eyed Susans – 5×7 Greeting Card
In this video I show you “behind the scenes” of what I do between making my “Let’s Paint” series, my “Make a Card with Vicki” videos, and my projects I love accomplishing, usually for gifts.
Hello Everyone, I wanted to capture Day Lilies from my garden in a painting, as they only last a day or a little after that.
Day Lilies – 5×7 Greeting Card
The color of these lilies in our garden stopped me in my tracks, so rich in color. We are also enjoying pink and orange lilies. So much to be thankful for. What flowers are you enjoying in your garden?
I love bluebirds. Some are so fluffy. I added a fence and tree. One day I will just paint birds with little around it, as I love painting animals and birds.

I also want to paint landscapes, glass, more flowers, more animals, etc. etc. So many beautiful things to paint. I feel so blessed to enjoy and paint just what is around me and use photos of what I capture on my past adventures, walks, and trips. Hope you too can take time to enjoy the beauty around us.
Hello Everyone, It’s a wonderful time of year to get inspired to paint those beautiful flowers, or whatever else you can see and enjoy around you. I’m so happy I captured these Lilacs in a photograph as they do not last very long on the bush.

Hope all is well with you all and you are enjoying your surroundings and can dive into a project. I’m finding the hours fly by when I can look forward to accomplishing something I’ve never tried before.
It’s amazing what you find when you do a little almost Spring cleaning (March 20th is the first day of Spring). Some time ago I had drawn this rose and today I want to paint it!
I love making backgrounds for my paintings. I hope you can watch this video and you too can be inspired to create something to lift your spirits.
